Biography

Blake Fraser completed both his B.S. in Psychology and M.S. in Developmental Psychology at Liberty University, where his research focused mainly on the experience of loneliness among college students. Specifically, his thesis explored the perceived causes of loneliness among college students using both explicit and implicit cognitive tasks. Now, he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Psychology to further advance his methods, statistics, and grant writing skills. He is completing his dissertation on the topic of re-examining the validity of Social Connectedness Instrument among a sample of general US adults.  As an instructor, Blake Fraser teaches students to begin to learn the methodologies used to explore psychological phenomena empirically and provides them with adequate statistical tools to analyze data gained from particular methodologies. He also leads a research team comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, which focuses on topics such as smartphone and social media restriction, flourishing, wellbeing, and social connectedness.
