Courtney McKenzie
Biography
Courtney McKenzie serves as the Costume Manager for the Department of Theatre Arts at Liberty University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Covenant College.
Courtney discovered her passion for costume design while working in her college’s costume department as an undergraduate. Following graduation, she joined Covenant College’s Theatre Department, where she served as Head Costume Designer for seven years. During that time, she developed and supervised costume designs that brought characters and stories to life on stage.
Courtney enjoys fostering creativity and artistry through costume design. Her favorite design credits include Hello, Dolly!, The Crucible, and She Stoops to Conquer. In 2024, she received the Kennedy Center Certificate of Achievement Award for her costume design work on Hello, Dolly!.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Courtney enjoys spending time with family, baking, and practicing hospitality.
