Professor Reichard is a retired U.S. Air Force Officer and former Airline Captain who has logged over 14,700 hours of flight time earning several type ratings.  In 20 years of active duty military service, he acquired worldwide operational aviation exposure as an Aircraft Commander, Instructor Pilot, and Flight Examiner.  During his 15 years of airline experience, Professor Reichard served as an Instructor Pilot, Flight Simulator Instructor, and Check Airman responsible for training and evaluating commercial pilots in all aspects of FAR Part 121 operations.

In January 2007, he joined the faculty of the School of Aeronautics.  Since that time his primary area of responsibility has been focused on educating aviation students enrolled in the commercial/corporate concentration of study.  Professor Reichard orchestrated our first five airline hiring agreements, developed and provides oversight for the Advanced Jet Training Program, and manages the FAA-sponsored Restricted ATP Program, certifying our qualified graduates for an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Reduced Aeronautical Experience.
