For this year’s Fashion Show, entitled “Cotton Couture: Nature’s Dream”, each designer has been challenged with the primary task of creating nature-inspired garments that are constructed of at least 60% cotton fabrics. This event provides the designers with a platform to showcase their collections to a live audience, locally as well as internationally, via traditional and social media. The 9th Annual Fashion show, presented by Liberty University’s Family and Consumer Science Department, takes place on April 11th in the Schilling Center on Liberty University’s Campus. With up to 25 designers showcasing nearly 50 looks, this has become the FACS Department's most anticipated event!
Through Cotton Incorporated, the FACS department was given a $25,000 grant to enable the magnificent production of Cotton Couture.
Proceeds raised at the Fashion Show will benefit the Channel Initiative, a charity based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
