General Transfer Policies
- Accreditation: Regionally or Nationally Accredited Institution, approved through the Department of Education
- Grade: C- or higher for graduate programs. Grades of P are eligible to transfer as long as the grading system at the transfer institution states that P is equivalent to C- or better.
- Grade: B- or higher doctoral programs. Grades of P are eligible to transfer as long as the grading system at the transfer institution states that P is equivalent to B- or better.
- Equivalency: Similar in content and scope of courses offered at Liberty University. Taken from a graduate program in a theologically like-minded, closely related field
- Non-Transferrable Courses: Thesis, Dissertation, Capstone, Comprehensive Exam, Practicum, Portfolio, and Internship courses are not able to be fulfilled by transfer credit. Additional courses are listed below by program
- Hours: 3 semester hours (4.5 quarter hours) per course
- Age Limit: 10 years for graduate programs
- Age Limit: 7 years for doctoral programs
- Transfer Limit: Most programs allow a maximum of 50% of the program hours to be transferred; exceptions are listed below and at the bottom of the first page of the DCP
- Like-Minded Schools: Transfer Credit must come from like-minded institutions as determined by departmental leadership.
