Exams and Tests
ICE is available to students with a satisfactory justification of previous knowledge in a subject area based upon a non-college training program, job experience, or self-learning. Through ICE, you have the opportunity to earn credit toward your chosen degree program.
Start earning college credit while in high school with Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The College Board has approved over 30 subjects that will help prepare you for success in college. Earn college credit toward your degree with your AP courses by scoring a 3 or higher on the AP exam (see chart below). Credit will be given in the areas applicable to the Liberty curriculum.
CLEP offers a unique opportunity to gain college credit for the knowledge you have acquired. CLEP comprises thirty-three tests covering a variety of subjects. Formal study, private reading, on-the-job experience, non-credit courses, business training, television/radio courses, travel, and superior high school courses are just a few ways knowledge is acquired that may be applied within CLEP testing.
Undergraduate college credit may be earned through the DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSSTs) program. These tests are administered by Educational Testing Services (ETS) and are available to both military personnel and civilians.

The Excelsior College Examinations (ECE) program provides the opportunity to have your college-level learning recognized by earning college credit in select subject areas. The International Baccalaureate exam assesses student work as direct evidence achievement against the stated goals of the Diploma Programme (DP).
Turn your technical training into college credit with NOCTI Business Solutions training assessments. NOCTI Business Solutions has collaborated with the National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS) to evaluate several of its assessments. Experienced industry experts and professors evaluated the rigor of the NOCTI Business Solutions assessments to translate the content into college credit equivalencies.
Liberty University accepts AS-level and A-level University of Cambridge International Exams (CIEs) with grades A-C. All AS-level CIEs will be awarded only three credit hours of elective credit (ex. 1XX, 3XX).
