Sarah Ellington, 2014

BSN

Hello, my name is Sarah Ellington and I am a proud LU alumni! In 2014 I graduated from Liberty’s prestigious nursing program, and moved back to my hometown, Cincinnati Ohio, to begin my nursing career. I started as a new grad in the medical/surgical ICU at TriHealth’s Bethesda North Hospital and I am still there 7 years later.

I have seen and learned so much in my time in the ICU and it has grown me not only as a nurse, but as a person. I am so thankful to have had the amazing education at Liberty that prepared me so well to start as a new grad in the ICU. I was given opportunities, such as the critical care program, that expanded my learning and pushed me to be the nurse I dreamed of being.

Liberty not only set me up for success, but my siblings as well. Four out of my five siblings graduated from Liberty’s Nursing Program, and are excelling in their own specialized fields.

With the flexible schedule that the nursing field provides, it has allowed me to focus on what I believe God called me to be first and foremost, a wife and mother. I am happily married to my best friend, Greg, and we have two beautiful children Abigail (2 years old) and Colton (who just turned ONE!). We also have two labs Gunner and Charlie.

I am beyond blessed and grateful at where the Lord has brought me, and Liberty University played a huge role in that. A sincere heartfelt thanks to all the Liberty staff, professors, and clinical instructors that helped shape me to be the nurse I am today.
