Noelia Bischoff, 2012
BSN
My name is Noelia Bischoff (Noelia Gonzalez). I graduated from the LUSON in May 2012. I completed and found my true love of nursing and critical care through the Critical Care Certificate Program during my senior year.
After graduation I spent one year in the Medical/Surgical, Neuro, and Cardiac ICUs at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Since then, I have been working in the Medical ICU at Duke University Hospital for the last 8 years.
Throughout my time at Duke, I have served as charge nurse, preceptor, rapid sequence intubation educator of nurses, and previously served on the venovenous ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) education committee for nurses. I have recently peeled back some of my responsibilities at work to focus on my graduate education.
I am currently pursuing my masters through Georgetown University to become an adult gerontology- acute care nurse practitioner. I am married to my husband Dana of 7 years and have an amazing son Everett (3.5 yo) with another little boy due in early January 2022. I truly thank LUSON and the CCCP program for my education and preparing me for my ICU career immediately post graduation!
