Maya Shrestha Bhattarai is a Family Nurse Practitioner, who came to the US as an international student in 2006. She has eight years of experience as an FNP working at the family practice and urgent care settings.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing- FNP degree from Cedarville University, Ohio in 2013 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Liberty University, Virginia in 2010.

She is deeply interested in root cause medicine for chronic illnesses. Thus she pursued functional medicine training from the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has been using this model of health care in her current role as a primary care provider at Jericho Road Community Health Center, Buffalo, NY.

Maya is passionate about medical missions and sharing the love of Jesus to underdeveloped countries like Nepal. She has led mission trips to Nepal. As a Director of Nepal medical work (stateside) at Jericho Road, she has been working actively with Nepali local staff on medical clinic building project in the remote village- Sindhupalchok, Nepal. She is hopeful that this clinic will provide primary care, OB/GYN, basic trauma/surgery care to the community.

Maya lives in Buffalo, NY with her husband Arjun and three beautiful children. At leisure, she likes reading books, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
