Biography

Dr. Tony Cooper currently serves as Worship Pastor for Temple FWB Church in Winterville, NC and Online Adjunct Professor of Music and Worship (including S.M.E. for two of the program courses) for the Liberty University School of Music. He also serves as Adjunct Instructor of Music Theory, Applied Piano, and Music Appreciation for Pitt Community College in Winterville, NC. Prior to these positions, Dr. Cooper served as Minister of Music/Worship Pastor at churches in Oklahoma and Mississippi. He regularly gives presentations at the National Association of FWB Convention, giving seminars in subjects like “Identity: Created to Worship” and “Building the Next Generation of Worship Leaders.” He is also a featured guest on the NAFWB Music Commission website where he hosts video lectures. He has been the NAFWB Convention Keyboardist since 2012 and was the Convention Band/Orchestra Director in 2020.

Dr. Cooper has degrees from Randall University (B.A., double majoring in Theology and Missions) and Liberty University (M.A, Music & Worship and most recently the conferral of D.W.S.). He also has done extensive undergrad work at the University of Central Oklahoma (Theory, Ensembles, and applied instruction in piano and trombone). Dr. Cooper and his wife, Jennifer, have two wonderful children.
