Biography

Dr. Paul Randlett, whose passion for training the next generation of worship leaders led him to the field of higher education in 2007, is recognized as a skilled worship leader, choral director, and award-winning educator. He has two degrees from Liberty University: an undergraduate degree in Sacred Music and a Master of Arts degree in Worship Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Christian Worship with an emphasis in Higher Education from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Randlett has led worship programs for much of the past 30 years in both small and large churches in Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee. He coordinated and led worship for the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia Annual Meeting on a number of occasions and has been a featured soloist with the Mass Choir at the Southern Baptist National Convention. Dr. Randlett has extensive experience directing vocal and instrumental ensembles of all sizes. In addition to serving as Chair of the Department of Music and Worship, he is on the worship staff at First Baptist Church of Roanoke, leading worship weekly while directing the choir.

He has been married to his wife, Jenny, for 26 years. They have two children, Justin and Jessica, and four grandchildren, Liana, Brayden, Gabriel, and Kylie.
