Biography

Nathan Zwald is a multi-Grammy and Dove Award nominated music producer and audio engineer with recording credits across multiple music genres including Contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel, Jazz, Classical, and Country. Before coming to Liberty in 2015 to serve as the Coordinator of the Recording, Engineering and Producing degree program, Director of Audio Production for the School of Music, and Associate Professor of Sound Recording and Music, Zwald worked for eighteen years in the professional music industry in Nashville as a recording engineer, record producer, recording studio manager, live sound touring engineer, and live sound design consultant.  

 

Nathan Zwald has worked with many of the industry’s top artists in the recording studio and live, mixing and touring internationally. The extensive list of music producers, record labels, recording studios, and musicians that he has worked with throughout his career serves to illustrate a high level of achievement in the music business that can otherwise be difficult to quantify. Zwald holds a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music degree from Shenandoah Music Conservatory and a Music Education Masters from Liberty University. He is an Avid Certified Pro Tools Instructor and has been a professional practitioner for over 25 years.  

He led the design and construction of Liberty’s multi-million dollar recording studio and consulted on the design and integration of the School of Music’s world-class concert hall. In addition to his many roles at LU, he continues to actively work as a sought after music producer and audio engineer.
