Biography

Dr. Kimberly Martin has been serving in worship ministry for over 15 years. In pursuit of God’s calling to use her gifts and talents in music to engage men and women in worship, she completed her B.S. in Worship and Music Studies: Youth Ministry from Liberty University in 2009. Through her study of worship, God revealed his heart for the nations and led her to the field of Ethnomusicology to explore how to engage in music and missions. This led her to spend five years in central Virginia working with South Asians, studying Indian music and dance forms. After completing her M.A. in Ethnomusicology in 2013, Dr. Martin went on to pursue her Doctor of Worship Studies (’18) from Liberty University, focusing in multicultural ministry and how to engage in culturally conscious worship as a worship leader through relationships, language, music, and performing & visual arts.

Dr. Martin is passionate about engaging people from every nation, tribe, language, and people group in worship through discipleship & evangelism, music, and performing & visual arts. In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor for the Liberty University School of Music, she loves to help churches and worship leaders who are interested in ministering in multicultural environments and advocate for reconciliation through worship.

Dr. Martin lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband.
