Biography
Dr. Brenda Widger is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, and holds numerous degrees in music education, music, and worship. Dr. Widger holds a K-12 Music Education teaching license in the state of Pennsylvania and has served in worship ministry for more than 4 decades. Dr. Widger began teaching for Liberty in 2018 and continues as an online faculty member while serving in the role of Online Chair for the School of Music. In addition to teaching, Dr. Widger previously recorded a couple of projects with a Christian trio. She also traveled to churches in the tri-state area of New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, sharing the gospel message through music at various services and community events. Since moving to the Lynchburg area in 2021, Dr. Widger continues to work in worship ministry, serving as Worship and Music Director for a local church in Concord.
