Research Week

Research Week is a multidisciplinary annual event sponsored by the Jerry Falwell Library. It is designed to highlight excellent research and scholarship produced by Liberty University students.

Participate

Research Week is open to all current residential and online students. Important dates and deadlines for Research Week 2027 are listed below.

Dec. 1 Research Week Portal Opens for Submissions 

Students can begin submitting proposals for participation in Research Week. 

March 12 Research Week Portal Closes to Submissions 

No new Research Week proposals will be accepted after this date.

April 2 Final Products Due 

Students must submit their final poster or oral/3MT presentation slides by this date to participate in Research Week.

April 19-22 Research Week 2027 

Students who were accepted to present at Research Week will present their research at their assigned times and locations.

May 3 Research Week Awards Ceremony 

Winners in each category will be announced with a reception to follow.

Win Awards

In addition to the prestige and resume-building benefits of participating in Research Week, students will have an opportunity to win awards. Awards will be given for the top three undergraduate and top three graduate presentations in each research category/subtype.

  • First Place—$250*
  • Second Place—$100*
  • Third Place—$50*

*Awards provided to currently enrolled students may be considered financial assistance or a financial resource under federal Title IV regulations and may be reported to the Office of Financial Aid. As a result, the form of the award may be adjusted to ensure compliance with applicable financial aid requirements. In cases where gift cards or other cash-equivalent awards are not permissible, the University reserves the right to substitute a physical item or other non-cash award of equivalent value. Participation in Research Week constitutes acceptance of these terms.
