Biography

Dr. Wilson received her BS in Psychology from Liberty University in 1999. After having her four children, she felt called to go back to school in 2012 and received her PsyD from Northwest University in 2018. Dr. Wilson is happy to be back in Lynchburg after stepping on campus 30 years ago.

Dr. Wilson spent much of her professional development, and dissertation research, in south Seattle working at two non-profit organizations that served marginalized populations in this diverse community. A homeless shelter, where she counseled women recovering from addiction, domestic violence, and trauma. And, in the same community, a pediatric clinic with an integrative behavioral health model doing brief behavioral interventions for children and their families with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and PTSD.

Professionally, Dr. Wilson, had a private practice where she specialized in adolescent care for a variety of mental health needs related to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and Autism.
