Missions Aviation Loan Repayment Program
The Missions Aviation Loan Repayment Program (MA-LRP) is intended to provide student loan repayment assistance to eligible Liberty University School of Aeronautics graduates who are entering or currently serving in missions aviation. The program is designed to reduce the financial burden of student loan debt and support graduates as they pursue aviation-related ministry service.
Approved awards are distributed over a five-year period, with 20% of the total award paid annually, contingent upon the recipient maintaining program eligibility and qualifying missions aviation service.
Applicant Eligibility
The program is intended for eligible LUSOA seniors and recent graduates who are entering or currently involved in missions aviation with a qualifying Missions Aviation Organization and who meet the requirements established in the MA-LRP Terms and Conditions.
- MA-LRP fund awards are limited to qualified graduates of the School of Aeronautics who received a degree from the School of Aeronautics. Current School of Aeronautics seniors may apply for and be accepted as a Repayment Fund recipient; however, initial disbursement will take place after the approved applicant has graduated and begun full-time ministry.
- Recipients must hold a full-time position as an employee of a mission organization in a field related to the degree at the time of disbursement.
- Total award distribution is up to the maximum balance of eligible loans payable over five years.
- Applicants shall submit the proper documents for review and approval by the Committee.
- All award recipients must be recertified yearly, identifying any changes in duties or role within the organization.
- Applicants must sign a statement affirming their rights and responsibilities under the program.
- Individuals who are currently delinquent or in default on any federal student or PLUS loan, are ineligible for the benefits of the MA-LRP.
