Biography

Meredith Boardman serves as Executive Director of Flight Training Operations for Liberty University School of Aeronautics. In this role, she provides strategic leadership and oversight of the university’s flight training operations, supporting the development and execution of programs that promote safety, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and student success.

Meredith has served in a variety of aviation safety, flight training, and leadership roles within both collegiate and commercial aviation. Before her current role, she served as Director of Safety for Liberty University School of Aeronautics, leading safety initiatives that supported flight training, maintenance, simulation, and academic operations. She also served as Director of Aerospace Safety at Middle Tennessee State University, where she led the development and implementation of an FAA-accepted Safety Management System through the FAA Safety Management System Voluntary Program (SMSVP).

Earlier in her professional experience, Meredith served as a Safety Analyst for Mountain Air Cargo, supporting the company’s Part 121, Part 135, and Part 145 operations through safety data analysis, Safety Management System administration, Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) oversight, Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) monitoring, and safety trend reporting. Combined with her experience as a Certified Flight Instructor and aviation safety leader, she has developed expertise in Safety Management Systems (SMS), risk management, flight data analysis, accident and incident investigation, emergency response planning, and safety promotion.

Beyond her university leadership responsibilities, Meredith has been actively involved with the Air Race Classic since 2018, serving as Assistant Director, Coach, and Racer. Through this organization, she supports one of the nation’s premier all-women’s air racing events while mentoring competitors and promoting opportunities for women in aviation.
