The School of Aeronautics offers a Bachelor of Science: Aviation Maintenance program with a cognate in either Management or Unmanned Aerial Systems Maintenance.
Management Cognate (B.S.
The Bachelor of Science Aviation Maintenance Management cognate is designed to expand on the Aviation Maintenance Technician School (A&P) training for FAA aviation mechanic licensure. It builds on, and strengthens, fundamental skills and principles taught during the AMTS training. The degree delves into broader topics facing an FAA licensed mechanic such as Human Factors and Safety. The Management Cognate gives that mechanic the skills and abilities necessary to serve in leadership and management positions of an aviation maintenance business. A student enrolled in this degree will earn their FAA mechanic certification with both Airframe and Powerplant rating.

Unmanned Aerial Systems Cognate (B.S.)
The Unmanned Aerial Systems cognate is designed to prepare students to become leaders within the rapidly growing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) industry by providing them with the technical training and leadership skills to support UAS operations around the world. Students enrolled in this program will earn their FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates as well as UAS crew chief certification through a training partnership with Textron Systems.
