Accepted CLEP Exams

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) offers a unique opportunity to gain college credit for the knowledge you have acquired. The program includes 34 computer-based tests covering a variety of subjects. Formal study, private reading, on-the-job experience, non-credit courses, business training, television/radio courses, travel, and superior high school courses are just a few ways knowledge is acquired.

The College Composition CLEP test includes an essay component that is scored.  It takes 4-5 weeks for results to be sent to both Liberty and the student.

The College Composition Modular CLEP test does not include an essay component, and as a result is scored immediately and can be seen by the student at the end of his or her exam. However, this exam requires a score of 60 to pass, whereas the College Composition exam requires a score of 50. The higher score is a Liberty specific requirement and must be obtained in order earn credit for ENGL 101.
