The School of Aeronautics offers a Bachelor of Science: Aviation Maintenance program with a cognate in either Management or Unmanned Aerial Systems Maintenance.
The Bachelor of Science Aviation Maintenance Management cognate is designed to expand on the Aviation Maintenance Technician School (A&P) training for FAA aviation mechanic licensure. It builds on, and strengthens, fundamental skills and principles taught during the AMTS training. The degree delves into broader topics facing an FAA licensed mechanic such as Human Factors and Safety. The Management Cognate gives that mechanic the skills and abilities necessary to serve in leadership and management positions of an aviation maintenance business. Student enrolled in this degree will earn their FAA mechanic certification with both Airframe and Powerplant rating.
