Resources for Success
Living off campus means learning how to navigate both Liberty and the city around it. From housing and transportation to food and weekly rhythms, the details matter. These resources are here to help you build a sustainable, steady life in Lynchburg as a commuter.
Commuter Resources
Life off campus comes with real logistics—meals, money, storage, and emergencies. The Commuter Resource Center exists so those pressures don’t derail your semester. These resources are designed to keep small problems from becoming big ones.
Living in Lynchburg
Liberty’s Off-Campus Housing site helps you search for apartments, find roommates, and see what’s available around Lynchburg.
The Lynchburg Community page connects you to neighborhoods, local businesses, and places you’ll start to recognize as part of your daily rhythm.
Campus Connections
Build meaningful connections, discover new opportunities, and make the most of your time at Liberty through programs designed for commuter students.
Commuter Development Series
Throughout the year, Commuter Life hosts workshops, events, and experiences designed to help you grow—personally, practically, and professionally. These Development Series are built around the realities of off-campus life, from managing independence to preparing for what comes after graduation. Explore what’s coming up and join us.

Commuter Neighborhood Hangouts
Your Commuter Neighborhood is where community begins. Join your Commuter Coordinator and other students for hangouts designed to help you build friendships, have fun, and feel connected throughout the semester.
Convocation as a Commuter
Convocation is part of Liberty’s weekly rhythm of worship, teaching, and campus life. As a commuter, you are invited—but not required—to attend. Convocation meets in the Vines Center on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Some commuters attend weekly, while others come when they can.
