Meet Your Commuter Coordinator
Your commuter experience at Liberty isn’t meant to be disconnected from campus life. Here to guide you on your journey, your Commuter Coordinators are student leaders well-versed in the joys and challenges of off-campus life. They are ready to help you find your people, deepen your faith, and grow in your independence throughout your time as a student.
Your Commuter Coordinators are determined by the Commuter Neighborhood you belong to. Don’t know which neighborhood you’re in? Find out on our commuter neighborhood assignment site.
What is a Commuter Neighborhood?
Commuter Neighborhoods are smaller segments of the LU commuter community designed to give you something off-campus life often lacks: a group of people who know your name and expect to see you around.
Neighborhoods aren’t based on where you live, instead you’re placed into a neighborhood at the start of your commuter experience. Each neighborhood is led by a Commuter Coordinator who reaches out, invites you in, and helps you connect through hangouts and shared experiences.
Contact Your Commuter Coordinator
You can connect with your Commuter Coordinator many ways — the best way is to introduce yourself at a Neighborhood Hangout or stop by the Commuter Lounge in Green Hall, Room 1875.
Another easy way to get into contact is to text #coordinator to (434) 592-3067 — the number to your virtual Commuter Life Assistant, which will notify your commuter coordinator that you want to connect.
Finally, you can email commuters@liberty.edu and our Administrative Assistant will forward your message.
Interested in Becoming a Commuter Coordinator
Commuter Coordinators are the go-to people for Liberty’s commuter students. In this role, you’re part event planners, part mentor, and part community-builder, creating spaces where commuters can connect, grow, and actually enjoy their college experience.
