Academic Calendar
Liberty University School of Law follows a traditional semester system with two regular semesters (Fall and Spring) of approximately fifteen weeks each.
Academic Status
All students are considered to be in good standing unless otherwise stated on the transcript. A student is placed on probation when the cumulative grade point average falls below 2.00
Unit of Credit
Class periods are 60 minutes per credit.
Grade Point Average
The grade point average is listed at the end of each semester for that semester and for the cumulative average. The formula for calculating GPA is:
GPA = Quality Points divided by the GPA Credit Hours
Awarding of Degrees
Degrees are awarded once each year. Commencement exercises are held in May. Liberty University School of Law awards the J.D. (Juris Doctor).
