Biography
Dr. Walker serves as Director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Liberty University. She has been at Liberty University since 2019 and has served in several roles including online adjunct faculty, practicum field director, Instructional Mentor, and Subject Matter Expert. Previously, she has worked as a PMHNP serving in both outpatient and inpatient capacities. Her career as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse spanned different roles including pediatric critical care, case management, and working with a behavioral health consult team. Her interests include whole person care, nurse and counselor wellness, anxiety disorders, and integration of a biopsychosociospiritual model into practice. She strives to carry over this holistic care to the student population as well in her graduate teaching roles.
