Biography

Professor Dominie began working as adjunct faculty at Liberty University in January 2016. She became full-time faculty January 2020. She started her career in the critical care setting. Two years into nursing, she decided to broaden her horizons by becoming a traveling nurse. As a travel nurse for eleven years, she worked in various ICU settings including those at Johns Hopkins Hospital, University of Maryland Medical System, and the world renowned R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. In 2009, she moved to Southern Virginia, began to work as a nurse educator at a community hospital, and was the lead instructor for the Certified Nursing Assistant program at Danville Community College. She moved to Lynchburg, VA in 2014 and started working at Lynchburg General Hospital in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and in the General Medical Unit. She now is the lead faculty for Fundamentals of Nursing. She is married to her husband, Craig, and has 3 children, and 8 grandchildren. Professor Dominie’s life verse is: “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29: 11-12
