Biography
Professor Gregory is the lead instructor for the junior-level Maternal-Newborn Nursing Course (NURS 354) and the associated clinical component (NURS 356). She also serves as clinical faculty in Transition to Practice (NURS 490).
Professor Gregory received her BSN from Liberty University. Her master’s work was completed at the University of Virginia.
Professor Gregory’s primary nursing/teaching interest is in the area of Maternal-Newborn Nursing. She desires to inspire in future generations of nursing students a passion for OB nursing and a sense of awe in how we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” by our Creator! Linda’s bedside clinical experience is extensive in the areas of maternal-newborn and neonatal intensive care nursing. She also actively participates in transcultural nursing education opportunities in Togo, West Africa. Linda has provided instructional clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing (general medical-surgical units, oncology, diabetic-renal, adult long-term, and skilled care). She serves as a prenatal educator at a local non-profit ministry focused on adolescent pregnancy and provides guidance for prospective adoptive couples through a local adoption agency. Linda offers prenatal and prepared childbirth classes in her home to expectant couples in her church and in the community.
Professor Gregory and her husband reside in Lynchburg where they enjoy serving in their home church. They have traveled to 5 of the 7 continents and 16 foreign countries.
Professor Gregory has been privileged to serve as a nursing faculty member at Liberty University since 1991.
