Megan Burks, MSN, RN, RNC-OB
Biography
Professor Megan Burks graduated from Liberty University with her BSN in 2009. She then earned her MSN in Clinical Leadership from the University of Lynchburg in 2020. She has a passion for women’s and children’s healthcare and has been employed at Centra’s Birth Center since 2007. Mrs. Burks holds professional certifications in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), and she is a certified Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL).
Professor Burks utilizes an interactive educational approach to promote clinical excellence, critical thinking, and positive outcomes. She believes everyone has a unique calling within the nursing profession, and she is motivated to help each student achieve success. Her professional areas of interest are high-risk obstetrics, neonatal resuscitation, pediatric advanced life support, and workplace civility.
