On Tuesday, July 17, 2012, rising third-year Liberty Law student, Matthew Mihelic (along with several other young activists) launched the pro-life organization, The R.O.S.E. Initiative,  a media-based campaign seeking to unite the millennial generation and their voice to end abortion in America.

According to Mihelic, "Our generation has lost close to a quarter of our peers to abortion. It’s time for all of us to stand and speak up for our lost brothers and sisters and reclaim our sacred existence." Mihelic serves as the director and co-founder of the The R.O.S.E. Initiative.

In an effort to raise awareness for the cause and show support for mothers in crisis situations, the R.O.S.E. team began selling hospital-like bracelets as a prayer reminder with all proceeds going directly to the mothers’ medical needs. "These bracelets serve as a physical and spiritual reminder to the Initiative’s cause of saving lives by partnering with maternity homes," added Mihelic.

Currently the R.O.S.E. Initiative is raising money online to further their efforts, with all donations going towards a video marketing campaign to engage the younger people. Mihelic and The R.O.S.E. Initiative staff believe that social media is the key to advancing the pro-life movements. To view the campaign video, click here.

In addition to the campaign, the R.O.S.E. team is also streaming on their website a list of names of people of who have signed their "Declaration of Life" petition and joined the ROSE Initiative. "There have always seemed to be gaps between young people’s passion for this cause and opportunities to make a tangible difference in specific lives and laws," said Mihelic. "R.O.S.E. exists to close those gaps."
