Liberty University School of Law welcomed back alumni from the first three graduating classes on Friday, October 16, as part of the 2009 Homecoming activities sponsored by Liberty University.  In addition to the Inaugural Alumni dinner sponsored by the School of Law, the university also held events including a bonfire and a football game against Coastal Carolina.

The law school alumni dinner commenced with a reception for law school alumni, faculty, staff and guests in the “Commons” which is part of the Phase III construction area.  Alumni and guests were given the opportunity to be the first to tour the new facility as well as reconnect with classmates.  Following the reception in the Commons, guests adjourned to the Mountain View Room for dinner, special music by classical guitarist Sean Beavers, greetings from a representative of each of the three graduating classes, the presentation of a class gift by the class of 2009, and a message from Dean Staver.

Liberty University School of Law commissioned its first graduating class in 2007 and since that time two additional classes have joined the ranks of LU alumni.  The inaugural Alumni Dinner serves as the first of many events planned specifically to reconnect alumni and help maintain the relationship between Liberty University School of Law and former students.
