On July 5, Liberty University School of Law will welcome back for the second consecutive year, the TeenPact Judicial (TPJ) program. TeenPact Judicial serves as a training ground for young adults interested in the study of law and who seek to become future leaders in law and government.
This summer marks a significant milestone with the judicial program as it not only celebrates its twelfth year in training the next generation of Christian leaders, but also will mark the first year the School of Law and Liberty Counsel partner together with the founder and president of TeenPact, Tim Echols. Last January Mathew D. Staver, Dean and Professor of Law at Liberty University School of Law announced the “The New Generation – TeenPact Scholarship.” “The New Generation – TeenPact Scholarship” will be awarded annually to selected students who successfully complete the TeenPact Judicial program, meet the full admissions standards including competitive Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score, have achieved the requisite Grade Point Average (GPA), and fully articulate their vision and sense of calling for studying law.
TeenPact Judicial is an intense, week long program, which instructs highly motivated and intelligent students interested in the study of law. Topics covered during the course of the week include Foundations of Law, Property, Contracts, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Torts, Criminal Law, and Oral Advocacy. Additionally, students complete the week by participating in a moot court competition where they prepare and argue actual case law before a panel of judges. Liberty University School of Law faculty participates in teaching the attendees the substantive legal topics as well as judging the moot court tournament.
