Liberty University School of Law was ranked first among most devout Christian law schools in an article by Pre-Law Magazine.

The article ranked law schools based on their commitment to faith and religious values.

The magazine’s sister publication, the National Jurist, reviewed 52 law schools affiliated with religious groups, along with schools that had large populations of Muslims, Jews and Mormons.

The study took into account the percent and activity of both students and faculty who belong to the faith, the methods used for integrating faith into the curriculum, the mission of the school, clergy and religious services at the school, and centers, clinics and religion-related journals.

Rounding out the top five behind Liberty, among non-Catholic schools were Trinity Law School, Regent University, Pepperdine University, and Baylor University. Many other law schools with historical religious origins did not make the list because they have long since abandoned their historical roots. Ave Maria School of Law came in at the top of the list for Catholic law schools.

The magazine also compiled lists of the top law schools for Jews, Mormons and Muslims.
