Liberty University School of Law moot court teams finished in the top four in their latest competition.
At the William B. Spong Moot Court Tournament at William & Mary, Adam Walton and Andrew Brown finished in the semifinal round.
Brown and Walton’s team won in preliminary rounds against Marquette University Law School and University of Cincinnati College of Law, and beat South Texas College of Law in the quarterfinal round.
Brown and Walton eventually lost in the semifinal round to St. John’s University School of Law, which was represented by its two teams in the final round.
Liberty Law Professor Scott Thompson congratulated Liberty’s second team for their outstanding arguments though they did not advance. The team of Kayla Bramnick and Tinisha Bowles, with Michael Minerva on brief, argued against the University of Virginia team that featured the tournament’s best oralist. They also competed against the team from South Texas.
