Kristal Dahlager, a 2012 Juris Doctor candidate at Liberty University School of Law, spoke at the Family Research Council’s (FRC) First Annual Conference on Medical Advances in Prenatal Diagnoses, held on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in Washington, D.C. Her speech entitled “God’s Unmistaken Creation” revealed that she was considered for abortion based on medical advice given to her mother.
Dahlager knew abortion was wrong, but it wasn’t until attending Liberty University School of Law that she developed her passion to end abortion and restore a culture of life. “My time here at Liberty has provided me with the knowledge, and arguments, on why abortion is wrong,” said Dahlager. “Further, the lessons I’ve learned taught me just how important it is to take a stand and vocalize the tragedy of abortion.”
Fellow law student, Mark Trammell, also a 2012 Juris Doctor candidate, connected Dahlager with the coordinator of the FRC’s conference and was later asked to share her story. “It was a privilege to speak at the conference. I believe God gave me my story to share and to add a personal level to why abortion is so cruel,” added Dahlager.
Following graduation, Dahlager hopes to start working at a firm focusing on Estate and Business Planning, and honing her tax knowledge so she can one day start her own firm specializing in Estate Planning, Business Planning, and Tax Law. Beyond her specific career, she would like to continue fighting abortion, praying that God allows her to witness its end.
This past fall, Liberty University School of Law’s legal publication, the Liberty Legal Journal, featured a story written by Dahlager.
