Liberty University School of Law was recently named by The National Jurist as one of 15 law schools recognized as best preparing students for public service employment in the field of government. This announcement was made on December 5, 2011, by the legal education magazine which is read by an estimated 100,000 law students.

Staver, Dean and Professor of Law at Liberty University School of Law.
The magazine reviewed each law school’s employment data, curriculum, and standard of living to determine three of the categories; the standard of living calculation included debt, loan forgiveness options, salary and regional cost of living. The magazine used employment placement data exclusively for the category of state and federal judicial clerkships.
According to Editor-In-Chief Jack Crittenden, “the goal was to identify the law schools that have a proven track record of producing graduates for the different segments of public service – other rankings may focus on prestige, this study focuses on results.”
Liberty University School of Law has previously been recognized for its placement of many graduates in judicial clerkships. US News and World Report has also recognized Liberty University School of Law as one of the fourth most popular law school in the country determined by measuring the ratio between offers and matriculates.
