On May 10, Mathew D. Staver, Dean of Liberty University School of Law and Founder/Chairman of Liberty Counsel, will be presenting oral arguments for the Liberty University case against the Obama administration's healthcare law.  The session will commence at 9:30 AM in the Fourth Circuit of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia.

Should you be interested in attending the oral arguments please be aware of the following procedures:

Courthouse Security: All visitors are required to show photo identification before they are directed through screening by Court Security Officers. Visitors are prohibited from bringing into the Courthouse or Annex: cell phones, pagers, cameras, tape recorders, computers, or other electronic devices. Weapons and potential weapons, including firearms, pocket knives, scissors, letter openers, screw drivers, mace, and pepper spray, are prohibited; umbrellas must be left at the entrance. Food and beverages may not be brought into the Courthouse or Annex.

Location: The Fourth Circuit's courtrooms are located in the Powell Courthouse, at 10th, between Main & Bank Streets. The Bank Street entrance to the Courthouse is currently closed due to construction, requiring use of the Main Street entrance. The Clerk's Office is located in the Courthouse Annex, 1100 East Main Street, Suite 501, Richmond, VA 23219, with entry from Main Street.

Handicapped Access: The Main Street entrances to the Courthouse and Annex are both wheelchair accessible. The Chief Deputy Clerk (804-916-2700) serves as the access coordinator for persons with disabilities who need access to the Courthouse or court proceedings. This includes assistance with parking and entry as well as with auxiliary aids for hearing or other communication impairments.

Hours: Clerk's Office general public hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with the exception of holidays. During argument week, the Courthouse doors open at 7:30 am. The attorney registration room (Courthouse 222) opens one hour prior to the start of arguments.
