On Tuesday, February 20, Dean Mathew D. Staver participated in a debate at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Orlando, Florida. The purpose of the annual convention is to assist and train professionals in Christian communications while providing valuable networking opportunities for professionals in the industry. Attendees listened to keynote addresses from well-known speakers and artists, educational sessions, and the debate on the topic of “Religious Expression: What is permissible in the marketplace of ideas?”
The panel included Jay Sekulow (left), American Center for Law and Justice; Michael Newdow (2nd from left), who challenged the Pledge of Allegiance and who is now challenging “In God We Trust”; Dean Mathew D. Staver (3rd from left); and Barry Lynn (right), Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Janet Parshall (far right), the host of the show “Janet Parshall’s America,” moderated the event.
