Liberty University School of Law
Liberty University School of Law recently received its largest gift in the form of a nearly $600,000 bequest from the late Mrs. Rosamond “Bunny” Carson Hall of Jasper County, Missouri.
According to her Last Will and Testament, Mrs. Hall requested that the gifts be used to establish endowed scholarships for Liberty Law students in the name of Thomas and Ida Melcher Carson and son William Carson.
Mrs. Hall went to be with the Lord in 2013 at the age of 95. A native of rural Missouri, she attended a one-room country school as a child. After living in Kansas City, New York and Ohio, Mrs. Hall returned to Missouri to tend to her mother. According to her obituary, Mrs. Hall joined with her husband, the late Ormsby “Jake” Hall in dedicating their lives to “getting people saved and into the Kingdom of God.” Mrs. Hall was known for “her beautiful singing voice and her love and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and her country, America.”
Law school Dean Mathew Staver expressed his deep appreciation at the generosity of friends of Liberty who give not only while they are living, but provide the means to accomplish the Lord’s work even after they are in Heaven.
“We are so thankful for dear friends like Mrs. Hall – servants of God and patriotic Americans who leave a generous legacy for future generations on this earth even after they have gone to be with the Lord. We will use this gift as an investment in training legal Champions for Christ for years to come until the Lord returns, “ said Staver.
