We are pleased to announce the first full-time law clerk at a federal court of appeals to have graduated from Liberty University School of Law. Jeff Johnson, who clerked with Liberty Counsel and graduated with the school’s inaugural class this past May, has just now accepted a position beginning fall 2008 with the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. Clerking for a federal court of appeals is a high honor. Clerkships at the federal court of appeals level are very competitive. Judges hiring law clerks at this level seek the best and brightest among the many applicants. It speaks well of Mr. Johnson and Liberty University School of Law to receive this honor.
After the bar, Mr. Johnson will clerk with the Virginia Court of Appeals for a year and then join the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. This is very exciting news for Mr. Johnson, Liberty University, and the School of Law.
