Partnerships

The Helms School of Government has formed strategic partnerships with a variety of organizations to help you broaden your educational experience.

Center for Law & Government

A collaboration with the Liberty University School of Law and the Helms School of Government, the Center for Law & Government promotes public policy and the free exchange of ideas by providing students with hands-on experience in politics and policy. Some events are held on campus and have included guests such as Former Virginia Governors George Allen and Bob McDonnell. Others have been held in Washington D.C. such as when Liberty University students joined with Hampton University students for a Washington Symposium. The event took place at the Library of Congress where they heard from Brian Colas, deputy chief of staff for Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA), Fox News host Shannon Bream, and Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), and then the entire group received a private tour of the U.S. Capitol.
