Getting Started
Getting started is simple. Follow these steps to prepare for your study abroad or international internship experience.
Step 1: Activate Your Student Portal
Log in to Via TRM, LU Send’s student portal. Complete your profile and Program Match to explore opportunities that fit your academic goals and interests.
Step 2: Attend Advising 101 & 201
Attend group sessions to learn about LU Send opportunities, program options, eligibility requirements, funding, and how to begin researching programs.
Step 3: DCP Consultation
Meet with a Study Abroad Coordinator to develop your study abroad plan. Review your Degree Completion Plan (DCP), discuss program options, confirm academic requirements, explore financial planning, and prepare for the application process.
Step 4: Apply to Your Program
Submit your application through Via TRM and work with your Study Abroad Coordinator through the next steps.

Step 5: Prepare for Departure
Complete Advising 301 and Pre-Departure Orientation to prepare academically, culturally, spiritually, and practically for your experience abroad. These sessions cover travel logistics, health and safety, cultural intelligence, emergency preparedness, and more before your departure.
Step 6: Reentry
LU Send offers re-entry programming to help you process reverse culture shock, navigate life back at Liberty, and connect your experience to your degree and career goals.
