Scholarship Opportunities
Group Travel Scholarships:
LU Send offers limited scholarships for select Group Travel programs to support students with financial need and a strong commitment to the mission of their travel experience. These awards are competitive and based on:
- Financial need
- Fundraising initiative
- Professionalism and preparedness
- Alignment with LU Send’s mission and trip objectives
Interested students should speak with their LU Send Travel Coordinator as early in the planning process as possible. Funding is limited and not guaranteed.
Study Abroad Scholarships:
- Gilman International Scholarship
For Pell Grant recipients

For dependents of active-duty military

Deadline: September 17, 2025 - Support Raising Strategies
Learn how to build a support network to fund your travel. - OSD Scholarship for Study Abroad Students
Offered by the Office of Spiritual Development to help cover flight costs for Signature Program participants or those completing CSER abroad. Eligible students will receive an application link upon LU Send program acceptance. - Custom Program Scholarships
Many partner organizations offer additional scholarships. Once accepted into a Custom Program, students are encouraged to apply for any relevant funding opportunities.

- Apply for a Visa – Access expedited services for international travel documents.

- Currency Exchange Rates – Check current rates before you travel.
- CDC Travel Health – Review recommended vaccinations and health advisories.
- Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) – Register your trip with the U.S. Embassy to receive safety updates.
