Pre-Medical Honor Society
The Liberty University Pre-Medical Honor Society has been active since 2005. The Pre-Medical Honor Society (PMHS) is designed to be a student-led, academically excellent organization that serves the Liberty University pre-medical community by facilitating the pre-medical club. It is our goal to educate undergraduate students about careers in the medical field, facilitate the development of intellect and character, and encourage community among pre-medical students at Liberty University.
The Honor Society recruits speakers from a variety of medical professions and medically-related fields. We seek to expose our members to a variety of topics related to the medical field including clinical practice, medical research, medical missions, biomedical ethics, MCAT preparation, and undergraduate course planning.
Aspects of the Honor Society that are reserved for members include:
- Access to MCAT/DAT/GRE study materials and practice tests
- Priority for medical school visit spaces
- Participation in certain community-building, member-exclusive events (e.g., tailgates, hikes, etc.)
- Verifiable demonstration of consistent academic achievement and community involvement for medical school applications & professional resumes
