Teams of four entered the gym, poised for action. Faces painted, shoes tied and tee-shirts matching, groups of students filled the Shilling Center, anticipating the day’s festivities. The second annual Hill City Scavenger Hunt was about to begin Saturday, Jan. 29, and students chatted excitedly as they awaited their turn at the registration table.

For God and country: Tyler Ellwein

Tyler Ellwein, known as TJ to friends and family, is a freshman athletic training major at Liberty. He likes baseball, basketball, working out at the LaHaye Student Center and going on adventures with his friends. Tyler Ellwein is also an Eagle Scout and was recently one of four Eagle Scouts across the U.S. nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor American Spirit Award.

Chicken gets the boot at IU campus

Secular college campuses are known for proclaiming tolerance from the rooftops of their Georgian-revival buildings. Tolerance for all: genders, races, lifestyles and religions — except for Christianity. Students at Indiana University South Bend will no longer be able to experience the deliciousness of a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich for a meal. Chick-Fil-A has been banned from Indiana University’s South Bend Campus.
