As a result of seeking ACBSP accreditation, Liberty University’s School of Business instituted Peregrine assessments into three specific courses, which all students take. In these specific courses, students are tested on their knowledge regarding various common professional core (CPC) competencies. As a result of the process, a sequencing of courses was developed to ensure that the students taking the beginning, mid-point, and ending point assessments were truly at this stage of their program. Student scored higher on each of the CPC competency area outbound assessments than the respective inbound assessments. The increased outbound scores indicate that students are increasing their subject-level knowledge during their time in School of Business programs.

Student scored higher on each of the CPC competency area outbound assessments than the respective inbound assessments, with the exception of the area of economics. The course that covers economics takes a microeconomics perspective, which is why students are performing well in microeconomics but not in macroeconomics. The trend of increased outbound scores indicates that students are increasing their subject-level knowledge during their time in School of Business programs.
