Biography

David J. Donahoo joined Liberty University in 2009 after an extensive career spanning military service, global operations, and executive leadership. His prior roles include serving as an Administrative and Telecommunications Officer in the United States Air Force, Project and Program Manager, Director of European Operations for CSC’s Intelligence Unit, Systems Engineering Director, Chief Operating Officer, and President of a software integration and development firm.

Since coming to Liberty, David has played a significant role in advancing the university’s computing and technology programs. He has provided long-standing leadership in academic quality and accreditation, serving as both an ABET Coordinator and ABET Program Evaluator and helping guide Liberty through continuous ABET accreditation since 2012.

David later served as Dean of the School of Engineering and Computational Sciences, where he led program expansion, launched new undergraduate and graduate offerings, increased student enrollment, and oversaw the successful accreditation of multiple engineering and computing programs.

Throughout his career, David has remained deeply committed to his students, viewing teaching as his ministry. He considers his students not only his greatest success but also his greatest responsibility.
