Employer Relations

Career Fairs are strategically designed to produce effective and targeted recruitment outcomes for students, alumni, and employers. All on-campus and virtual career fair opportunities provide students and alumni access to engage with some of the top employers in the state, region, and country.

The Employer Relations team has designed a Career Fair schedule that aligns industry and employer needs with a targeted subset of students and alumni. Since some industry recruiting cycles vary from semester to semester, some industry specific Career Fairs are only offered in the fall or spring accordingly. However, multiple opportunities to engage with employers in each field are provided for students and alumni in almost all majors each semester both on-campus and virtually.

Career Fairs provide students an advantageous opportunity to develop deeper insight into the roles and opportunities that exist in various industries. Students can build personal relationships with recruiters in a meaningful way while pursuing gainful employment in their desired industry. Building relationships with employers early in the recruiting cycle can provide a substantial advantage when pursuing employment and entering an employer’s application and interview pipeline.

Located in Central Virginia, Liberty is a liberal arts institution with 15 colleges and schools and offers programs in fields such as education, counseling, religion, law, aviation, cinematic arts, business, and more. Liberty graduates are sought after by prestigious companies for their integrity, personal discipline, and versatility. Experience Events

Experience Events are one, to two-day, highly immersive events with one employer embedded into their target-school, designed to maximize connections between the employer, faculty, and students. Over the course of day(s) the employer will conduct meetings with their target-school Dean, faculty members, and students.

• Classroom Presentations
• Employer-led professional development workshops
• Employer-hosted networking lunches
• Informational sessions
• On-campus interviews

Employer On-Site (EOS)

Available during the fall and spring academic terms*, conducting an EOS is the most simplistic and low-cost avenue for employers to build brand awareness and recruit the general student populous. Employers are provided a table in a high-visibility area on-campus where they are able to engage with students and share more information about the career opportunities that exist at their organization.

Held each fall and spring, The Nursing & Healthcare Career Fair offers students job opportunities across all healthcare industry units. These opportunities are inclusive of roles in Nursing, Behavioral Sciences, Health Sciences, Respiratory Therapy, Business, Human Resources, IT/Cybersecurity, and more.

• Nursing: New Graduate Nurse Residency Programs, Summer Nurse Externship, Specialty Opportunities aligning with LU Certificate Programs (Critical Care, Medical-Surgical, and Maternal Child), Advanced Practice Nurse Opportunities, and Nurse Practitioners (Family and Psychiatric – Mental Health).
• Behavioral Sciences: Students seeking both Non-Licensure and Licensure Positions including Mental Health Coaching, Licenses Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), Clinical Psychologists, Industrial Organizational (IO) Psychology, and more.

Held each fall, the Association of Christian Schools International makes its annual International School Career Fair tour, including its first stop on-campus at Liberty University. Do you feel called to work at an International Christian School? Behavioral, Health, & Nursing Career Fair

The Nursing & Healthcare Career Fair is held each Fall and Spring. Designed to be inclusive of all healthcare professionals and industry opportunities, employers have the opportunity to engage students looking for a wide variety of opportunities within the healthcare industry.

In an effort to provide as much clarity for employers and our students, we have chosen to group employers into the following four categories: (1) Nursing, (2) Behavioral Sciences, (3) Health Sciences (including Allied Health), and (4) Healthcare Administration.

We ask that employers register under the category that best aligns with the roles they are looking to recruit for. Employers have the opportunity to register for multiple booths if they would like to recruit under multiple industry categories.

Below is a breakdown of students who may be looking for roles within each of the four industry categories:

The Law Enforcement & Government Career Fair, held each Fall and Spring, provides heightened opportunities for law enforcement departments, government contractors, and government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels to engage and connect with students. This career fair provides employers the unique opportunity to recruit from the entire general student body population throughout our most high-trafficked academic building on-campus for nearly an entire day, on one of the most high-traffic days of the week.
