The band plays for men’s and women’s basketball home games. This ensemble also travels with the basketball teams during postseason play, which involves fun trips where the members make lifetime memories.
Spirit Band (MUSC 193 / 494) is a Spring-semester course that begins in November and continues until the end of basketball tournament play in the Spring. In 2026, the CUSA tournament will be held from March 9-25 in Huntsville, AL. Additionally, if Liberty advances to the NCAA tournament, the season extends into the first round, which occurs the following week.
