Biography

Prof. Horne currently serves full time as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney for the City of Lynchburg. As a prosecutor, she handles misdemeanor and felony offenses as part of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court team. Many of her cases involve domestic violence, child abuse, or offenses committed by juveniles. Prior to serving as a prosecutor, she spent many years practicing in areas of civil law. Before working as a prosecutor, she worked as an assistant city attorney in Lynchburg, representing various city departments in a wide range of matters. She also has experience working as a staff attorney for a nonprofit organization as well as in private practice.

Prof. Horne was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia. She enjoys spending her free time with her family.
