Biography

Prof. Latrecia Jackson-Hicklen is a dedicated criminal defense attorney with a proven track record of advocating vigorously for clients facing a wide range of charges. She is the senior trial attorney at Lynchburg’s Public Defender’s Office. With a client-centered approach, she strategically challenges evidence, negotiates favorable plea agreements, and ensures that each client receives personalized and effective representation. Over the course of her career, Professor Jackson-Hicklen has successfully represented clients in multiple jury trials, securing wins in cases that span from simple possession to second-degree murder.
Personally, Professor Jackson-Hicklen enjoys cherishing moments with family. She also actively serves as a minister in her local church, contributing to community outreach and supporting ministries that align with her faith and values.
